Well, its kinda stale news by now but yeah I gotta blog about it. Last weekend was one of the most unforgettable weekends in Indian Sports. Gioncarlo Fischella finished on podium in Belgian Grand Prix after taking the pole in qualifiers.
Having taken the pole in the qualifiers, Force India made no mistake leading right from lap one but a crash at Les Combes meant the safety car was out slowing down the top contenders. Thats when Kimi closed in on Fisi and eventually took the lead at Eau Rogue corner, courtesy the KERS technology (some fancy technology in which they are able to recover kinetic energy while braking, supercool right!!) of the Ferraris. Throughout the race Fisi tried as much as possible to close in on Kimi but just couldn't beat the KERS equipped Ferraris, damn it! Anyway a podium finish is always cool and I can see Mallya going gaga over the win. Seriously, I never thought Force India will ever make it to the podium and that too in its first season, thats like a toddler roller skating! Thats possible if the babies are on Evian!
